When Jesus was growing up he had a lot of influence on him, but I think the greatest influence was his father. Jesus looked up to him. He was a carpenter and so was Jesus, so they were really close. That means he trusted in what his dad has to say. That's why he's the greatest influence on him.

Blog #6

Dear God,
Thank you for everything you have given me. Thank you for my family, my friends, the roof over my head, the clothes over my back, the food on my plate, and the education I learn. Please help me find peace in my life. Let all my anger and stresses go. Help me find happiness. Help me be kind. Help me get rid of all the negativity in my life. Thank you Lord.

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

To whom do you pray? Why?

I pray to God because I want to be closer to him. To me praying to God is the way to pray because he will listen to you and in some way will respond and answer your prayers and intentions.

Jesus Sentenced to be Crucified
John 19

The story about the crucifixion of Jesus is true, because when the story as written Jesus was buried in a tomb with a cloth. It was found that the Shroud of Turin was found with a face (Jesus) on it.

Mark is the Gospel author that most represents me. Mark most represents me, because of his symbol. His symbol is a winged lion and the lion represents courage and leadership. And to me having courage and leadership is one of the most important things you can have as a human being.

How does what you learned from the Bible archaeology project change or foam your view of Jesus as you thought you knew?

What I learned form the Bible project formed my view of Jesus form something that "could" actually happen. What I mean by that is that the cloth had a distinctive face on the cloth and Jesus was buried with that cloth. This formed my belief in Jesus because this states that story might not be a lie. I also learned what Jesus received on his "birthday." This project made me realize that some of these stories may be fake, but that doesn't mean all of them.

Blog Journal Response

What are my thoughts about Jesus? How do I know Him? What have I heard about Him? What do I believe about Him?

Jesus is the Son of God. I heard about him in my kindergarten religion class and all the years leading up to now. I heard about his story, how he died for the sins of the people, how he sacrificed himself, and how he forgave the people that mocked him and betrayed him. Another story that I heard was how he spoke the word of the Lord (his father) and how it spread around. To me, Jesus is the Son of the Lord, our God. I believe that he saved us from our sins and gave us a new chance.
